The Voice Prompted Portable Bar Reader Add-on
(optional purchase) software comes with one portable bar code reader and provides for:
- Printing labels for each storage location
- Process new boxes/files coming into the records center
- Checking boxes and files out
- Checking boxes and files in
- Moving boxes and files to another location
- Transferring files to boxes for long term storage
- Taking physical inventory of boxes

NOTE : Without the purchase of the Portable Add-on, SIMPLE utilizes stationary bar code readers with either the light pen, CCD scanner or laser gun attachments to read the file and box labels as a fast, accurate and efficient means of performing the functions above.
The MicroFilm Add-on Module (Optional Purchase) has been designed to handle thousands and hundreds of thousands of rolls (or cartridges) of microfilm. It provides for tracking each image, on each roll, thus having quick and easy access to valuable filmed information.
 This may seem somewhat inconsequential, but the feed back from those using this module indicates they save at least 50% over prior manual processes. Partly because recurring requestors are "profiled' in the computer. Their name and department information, phone number, fax number, e-mail address and internal routing information. along with disposition of their requests, i.e., Call when ready, Deliver to them, Hold for Pick Up, etc., is just a click away
Plus, the ability to search different type of reports, i.e., Terminated Employees, Disability, Civil Service records, etc., ALL AT THE SAME TIME... is a real time saver. If you manage filmed records, this is a must! |
